This weeks articles I felt were more about teacher someone about group work and how to work with others, what to expect, etc. I do not think they really defined a new aspect of leadership rather they taught you how to deal with an aspect of leadership. For this reason my definition has not changed.

With this weeks readings i found that my definition did not really change. The binary set-up of leadership qualities is not something I supported, I think a lot of leadership is found to have a mix between each side, such as individual vs. relational. I supported this opinion in my definition all ready. Also the same theme of leadership being everywhere I had already supported with my definition.

I still feel that my original Leadership definition fits my belief of the word. As I had said everyone shows their leadership in a different way which is supported by Golemans article stating the six types of leadership and how they vary among different people. I also agree with the combining of these types in order to be a stronger leader. Also in my original definition I said that anyone can be a leader which was supported by Goleman but not so much by Roth. In Roth's article it shows the weaknesses/ineffectiveness of unnamed leaders. I would agree that some people struggle to be a leader but everyone will at one time affect ones life for the best therefore being a good leader.

My Definition: I believe that leadership is the ability to influence others. Leadership can be seen in someone who carries a team through a winning or loosing season or someone who simply achieves on their own, setting the bar higher for those to follow. A person can lead in one way or in many ways to build the respect of their followers.
