Death toll rising after Chile earthquake

At least 214 people have been killed in an 8.8 magnitude earthquake that hit Chile early Saturday morning.
The earthquake was one of the strongest ever recorded, and may have devastating effects on the pacific region, according to MSNBC.
Electricity, water, and phone lines were cut across most of the country, leaving no immediate word of death or damage from the area.
The quake also unleashed a tsunami across the pacific, which may threaten countries such as Japan, according to Fox News.
