Search for missing snowmobiler called off

Washington County authorities called off the search Sunday for a missing snowmobiler in the St. Croix River.
The search has been postponed because of the anticipated snow fall and the strength of the St. Croix River's current, said Sgt. Tom Stafford of the Washington County Sheriff's office.
Late Saturday, authorities identified the missing snowmobiler as Timothy Michael Pease of Lake St. Croix Beach, according to the Pioneer Press.
Authorities have also confirmed that a snowmobile has been found at the bottom of the river, with no sign of the missing driver, according to the Star Tribune.
