Twin Cities Diversity in Practice 2010 1L Summer Rotation Clerkship Program

Click the following 2010 Diversity in Practice Program.pdf for the PDF addressing the Twin Cities Diversity in Practice Annual 1L Summer Rotation Clerkship Program. The clerkship combines a traditional law firm clerkship with experience with working in an in-house corporate law department. The program is designed to give students of color the opportunity to work at a top-ranked law firm as well as spend a "rotation" (typically 3-4 weeks) working in the law department of a major corporation.

No applications will be accepted until December 1st, per NALP guidelines.

MSBA 1L Clerkship Program

Applications for the MSBA 1L Clerkship Program are due January 22, 2010.

The Minnesota Minority Clerkship Program (MMCP) is in its fifth year since implementation. The program was conceived and is administered by the Diversity Committee with the purpose of fostering diversity within the Minnesota legal community.

The program is designed to match selected 1L students-of-color with participating Minnesota legal employers for a summer clerkship opportunity. The clerkship program gives employers and students a unique opportunity to establish contacts, obtain "real world" experience and promote diversity in the legal profession.

1L Hiring Index from NALP Directory of Legal Employers


The NALP Directory of Legal Employers allows students to generate their own custom index of NALP employers that hire first-year students. Using the Advanced Search feature, students can enter their specific criteria and then select 1Ls from the "Organizations that Hire" drop-down list. Employers that indicated Yes or Case-by-Case (CBC) will appear in the results list.
