NALP Seeks Nominations for the 16th Annual PSLawNet Pro Bono Publico Award

Nominate a student(s) for the 16th annual PSLawNet Pro Bono Publico Award! The Award honors a student who has made exceptional contributions to under-served populations, the public interest community, and legal education by performing pro bono or public service work. The winner will be invited to Washington, DC to be honored during an Award Luncheon at NALP's Public Service Mini-Conference on Thursday, October 21, 2010. Nomination forms are available online, and are due by Thursday, September 9th.

Any student from a PSLawNet Subscriber School may be nominated. And nominations are welcomed not only from career development staff, but from fellow students, employers, or others who have observed a student's work firsthand. Nevertheless, I strongly encourage law school career and public-service professionals to consider nominating your all-star students. For so many of them, their work goes unheralded outside of their immediate professional and social circles. The PSLawNet Pro Bono Publico Award offers you an opportunity to shine a bright light on their contributions, and to give them an important, additional credential in their employment searches.
