How to Succeed as a Summer Associate 2012

PLI again offers our very popular, free program "How to Succeed as a Summer Associate" live in New York City and on the Web on Monday, June 4 at 5:30 p.m. Eastern. You don't even need a scholarship. Just go sign up online. If you come to the live program in New York, there will be a reception after, where you can network with the professional faculty and other summer associates.

Why You Should Participate
A summer associate position is really a twelve-week interview. Simply avoiding career-limiting behavior is not enough; you need to successfully navigate the dilemmas and challenges you'll face during the summer. Our experts will help you figure out how to turn this opportunity into a permanent position at the firm.

The 21st Annual Minnesota Minority Recruitment Conference

The 21st Annual Minnesota Minority Recruitment Conference is OPEN!

The MMRC connects the largest legal employers in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area with top 2L and 3L candidates from around the country. Interviews will be held from 9:00 - 5:00 p.m. Employers participating in the interviews will include small, medium and large firms; corporate law departments; and public interest, nonprofit and government entities. We will also be hosting a welcome reception on Thursday, August 2, for students to meet local attorneys from area employers before the interviews.

Summer in the Capital: A Fall Recruitment Preview for Law Students & Employers

The Diversity Committee of the Washington Area Legal Recruitment Administrators Association (WALRAA) is pleased to invite you to the inaugural, Summer in the Capital: A Fall Recruitment Preview for Students & Employers on Monday, June 18, 2012 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Washington, 1150 22nd Street, NW, Washington, DC. The purpose of the event is to bring together legal employers and diverse, second-year law students who are interested and committed to practicing law in the DC metropolitan area after graduation. It is a tremendous opportunity for you to network and circulate resumes before the start of the fall recruitment season in an informal setting. Each employer will have a table where they can speak with interested students about their firm, its culture, and to help you make informed decisions. There will be a large mix of representatives from firms, public interest organizations, and government agencies in attendance.

Second-year students are welcome to participate, and please remember to bring copies of your resume to the event. THERE IS NO FEE TO ATTEND. Please register by Thursday, June 14 by clicking HERE!
