Date: Tuesday, July 17, 2012
Time: 4:30pm

Hosted At: 16th Floor Conference Center of Leonard Street & Deinard, 150 South Fifth Street.

Thanks to the efforts of the Hennepin County Bar Association's Bench & Bar Committee, the HCBA's New Lawyers' Section, and several of the area's top firms, you will have the opportunity to hear from, and talk to, a panel of the "Chiefs". Specifically, U.S. District Court - District of Minnesota Chief Judge Michael Davis, Minnesota Supreme Court Chief Justice Lorie Gildea, Court of Appeals Chief Judge Matt Johnson, and Hennepin County Assistant Chief Judge Peter Cahill will talk to you about a host of issues relevant to new (and soon to be new) lawyers.

This panel discussion is geared toward summer associates, law clerks, interns, and newer lawyers throughout the legal community, including those in private practice, corporations, the courts, Legal Aid, and those in all areas of public service. The discussion, which will be moderated by Hennepin County District Court Judge Jay Quam, will encompass issues ranging from advice on effective practice in the various courts to the judges' views of how the profession is likely to change in the upcoming years. Following the discussion you will have the opportunity to attend a reception and talk to the panelists and other judges.

The discussion has been approved for one hour of standard CLE credit.

Registration begins at 4:15 p.m., with the discussion from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. A reception will follow the discussion.

We hope you can attend. Please RSVP by July 11, 2012 here.
