Proskauer's Silver Scholar Program
The Silver Scholar Program is an award initiative designed to increase diversity within our firm and the legal profession. The award is named after Edward Silver, the first elected Chairman of Proskauer and one of the nation's leading labor lawyers. The program reflects and is an outgrowth of Ed's lifelong commitment to fairness, diversity and equal opportunity.
Description of Program
The selected student will receive a summer associate position at Proskauer and be eligible for a cash award of up to $30,000 payable in installments. To receive the entire award, the student must a) accept an offer to participate in the summer associate program; b) complete the summer associate program; and c) receive and accept an offer to join our firm as an associate. Only second-year law students can apply.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
Enrollment in a full-time program at an ABA-accredited law school
Outstanding academic achievement in college and law school
Demonstrate leadership abilities
Active involvement in the community
