2 miles on the treadmill today.
Run stats:
3 miles on the treadmill today. It was warm enough to run outdoors, but I didn't have time to get the gear for that together this morning.
Run stats:
Today I went running with Eric, who's also running Grandma's with me this year.
Except that he's quite experienced and fast, so I doubt he'll be running with me in a literal sense!
But whenever he's willing to slow his training runs down for me, I'll certainly enjoy his company like I did today.
Run stats:
Not much free time today, but I did have a nice 2 miles run. Trying to keep miles somewhat low to make sure my knee does not flare up again. Seems to work.
Also suspect that my left knee does not like the treadmill, either. Soon I won't need to be inside anymore, but I still do enjoy the occasional treadmill run.
Run stats:
Now that the beginning-of-semester surge is over at the Rec. Center, it's possible to get a treadmill again without an unreasonable wait. Nice for a day like today when it's cold.
Run stats:
Today I was supposed to run 7 miles, yet didn't take the time to map an exact route ahead of time because I decided to run at the last minute. So I took a quick look at existing routes and made a best guess adjustment. As you can see, I fell short. I also didn't feel very motivated; nor do I have the battery replaced in my Polar watch yet, so my pace was a bit off and things were, overall, kind of lame today. Oh well...it's like that sometimes, and the important thing is that I did my long run (or, in this case, most of it).
Run stats:
Didn't run for a while to rest my left knee. Today it felt great during the run, and great now, too. We'll see what tomorrow brings.
It's always interesting to monitor progress of the new 35W bridge from the vantage point of this route. I need to remember to bring a camera so I can take and post some photos.
Run stats:
The left knee is not liking the recent ramping up of mileage. Very troubling.
So I didn't run yesterday, and probably won't tomorrow either. We'll see what happens this weekend.
At least this is a good time in the training calendar to absorb some non-activity.
What a wonderful day to resume my runs to the Stone Arch Bridge, my favorite midday route.
I think everything must look better with the veil of a gentle snowfall. Downtown Minneapolis, the Guthrie, the bridge. It all looked fabulous, and the snow and temperature combination made for a fairly tacky running surface.
Run stats:
Small victory...but I'm back to 5 miles.
Run stats:
Got really cold again, and now rebounding back to acceptable. The treadmills are crazy busy at the Rec Center, so I think I'm going to try to stay outdoors from now on.
