I am writing this from the comfort of my home office, rather than my office at work, because the University of Minnesota closed early today. According to the scuttlebutt I heard on the bus ride home (which took an hour, by the way), it's the first time since 1991 that has happened. Actually, it doesn't really seem as bad as all that, but who am I to complain about getting a couple of extra hours of leisure time. At least I am finally recovered from the horrible cold which basically killed the entire month of February for me, including my birthday. Instead of going out to celebrate the achievement of 38 years, I sat at home doing the following:
* Sleeping
* Blowing my nose
* Moaning
With all this good health and free time on my hands, I suppose I should be getting a head start on the shoveling, but with the white stuff still coming down hard and fast, it doesn't seem worth the effort. Good night to curl up with hot chocolate and a book or a maybe a video. A certain individual (to remain nameless) gave me a copy of a certain Oscar-winning film (to remain nameless) which, needless to say, is not available from the local Blockbuster at this time. Or I could blog a bit, I guess.
