Christine Stark is an award-winning writer and visual artist of European and American Indian ancestry whose work has been published in numerous periodicals and anthologies, including The Florida Review, Blue Earth Review, Poetry Motel, Poetry Midwest, Our Choices, Our Lives, and Primavera. She is a co-editor of an international anthology entitled Not for Sale. She teaches writing, speech, and literature at a community college in Minnesota.

Edmond Manning has been writing for dozens of years now but only recently decided to pursue publication. The night before Thanksgiving he reads from his yet-unpublished novel, King Perry the Forgiver. The story explores the nature of compassion, forgiveness, and starfish in the context of an unusual gay romance, a weekend designed to help investment banker Perry Mangin “remember who he was always meant to be. A sample of the author’s writing may be viewed at www.edmondmanning.com.

The Carol Connolly Reading Series, presented by Intermedia Arts, celebrates the rich diversity of voices that make up the Twin Cities community of writers, readers, and their audiences, offering public readings by both emerging and established local writers and poets. Funds for this activity are provided by the COMPAS Community Art Program through a grant from the McKnight Foundation. The Carol Connolly Reading Series is sponsored in part by The Banfill-Lock Center for the Arts, DreamHaven Books, Patrick's Cabaret, SF Minnesota, and the University Club of Saint Paul.
