Three people have been killed, three have been left unaccounted for, and two have been hospitalized after a large explosion Saturday night at a grain elevator in northeastern Kansas, CNN reported.
According to Fox News, the search for the missing men was suspended Sunday while crews waited for more specialized search equipment.
The massive explosion at the Bartlett Grain Co. elevator was seen and felt from up to four miles away, Fox News reported.
CNN reported that authorities suspect toxic gases that can be generated by stored grain caused the explosion.
According to Fox News, out of 11 workers loading a train with corn when the explosion occurred, only several escaped injury.
