SHANGHAI, China (AP) — China overtook the U.S. in monthly vehicle sales in January for the first time, figures from China's auto industry association showed Tuesday, largely because of a plunge in American car sales.

This is no surprise, One curve is going down, and the other is going up. Ultimately they will meet. But the traffic condition and pollution in China's cities amazingly deteriorate.

Probably the same trend happened in other BRIC countries.
