Maplewood driver dead in single-vehicle crash

A man was killed Sunday in a single-vehicle accident on Highway 61, Minnesota State Patrol said according to CBS Minnesota

David J. James, 35, crashed around 11 p.m. when his 2002 GMC Yukon swayed off southbound Minnesota 61, nicked a guardrail and ran into a concrete pillar, The Pioneer Press reported.

Authorities pronounced James dead at the scene, CBS Minnesota reported.

Weather conditions were dry at the time of the crash and no one else was injured, Minnesota State Patrol said as reported by The Pioneer Press.
