We've Got Heart

Heart is only one of the online medical journals now available to University students, faculty and staff through BMJ Journals Online, a private medical publisher located in the United Kingdom. Other titles include Practical Neurology, the Journal of Medical Ethics, and Gut. The site's innovative design allows users to conduct traditional searches for information (by entering author name, keyword, or citation) or by specialty, searching across multiple journals for articles on a specific topic.

Featured Program: AgEcon Search

Policy makers in Africa, undergraduate students in the United States, and scholars in Europe all use AgEcon Search when they want access to the latest research in agricultural, applied, and resource economics. Developed in 1995 and maintained by University Libraries and the Department of Applied Economics, AgEcon Search is a repository, or virtual storage space, for full-text working papers, conference papers (most required to be deposited before conference presentations are made), and small press journal articles. The site has an international scope, with materials deposited by researchers across the globe. Librarian Julie Kelly, one of its coordinators, explains that it is “the go to place” in these disciplines to get a window on current research. Available free of charge, this web-based service includes 18,500 full-text documents and has recorded over a million downloads since 2001.
