ALCTS ScholComm Interest Group at ALA Midwinter

Brian Quinn, Chair, ALCTS Schol Comm Interest Group, has announced that Ann J. Wolpert will be the guest at the Interest Group meeting at Midwinter ALA, Monday, January 26, 2009. Ann Wolpert is Director of Libraries at MIT and Chair of the Board of MIT Press, which is widely recognized for innovation in electronic publishing. She will talk about the changing nature of scholarly communication, what MIT has been doing in this area, its renowned repository, its efforts in the area of education and outreach to faculty, and how to position libraries for the 21st century.
