It's time for the annual ArtWords: Writing at the Weisman Contest!
Any graduate or undergraduate student enrolled in a Creative Writing course in spring 2008 is eligible. Visit the Weisman Museum and select a work of art in the permanent collection that speaks to you. Write a creative piece, poetry or prose. Maximum length is one page. Submissions are due Friday, March 14 at noon in the Creative Writing office, 222 Lind Hall. Awards will be presented at a public reading on Wednesday, April 16 at 7 p.m. in the Weisman Art Museum. Winners receive gift certificates to the Weisman Art Museum store. Winners are selected in both graduate and undergraduate categories.
Cover sheets are available in 222 Lind and at the Weisman information desk. Maps of galleries available at the Weisman information desk. Complete guidelines and cover sheets attached to this email. Guidelines will be also be placed in mailboxes. Please distribute this announcement to your students!
