GSA 2008 Houston
Two UMN librarians (Kristi Jensen, Borchert Map Librarian and your own Geology librarian, Lisa Johnston) will be presenting at this year's GSA meeting in Houston, TX tomorrow on a new system to help our users search and find maps held in the library. "MapHappy" is a custom-build user interface using the Google Map API to "mashup" with our library catalog allowing you to graphically browse our map collections.
The beta version of MapHappy is available on our test server as we are still in development. However we welcome feedback on the design and overall impact of this project.
