Dear Colleagues,
We have a meeting scheduled for Thursday, October 8, 2009, 1:30-3:00 pm (eastern) in the Edward Rhodes Stitt Library at the National Naval Medical Center, 8901 Rockville Pike, Bethesda, MD. To join by phone, please call 1-888-813-8477 and enter passcode 394248. A separate email will be sent to local participants with directions and logistics.
The agenda will feature a presentation by Dr. Kenneth Schor, Acting Director of the National Center for Disaster Medicine and Public Health. http://ncdmph.usuhs.edu/Pages/default.aspx. Dr. Schor will share a brief history of the Center and its role as an education center for disaster health preparedness. Following the presentation, he will join us in a discussion about the information needs of the Center and the roles librarians can play in
disaster preparedness training.
This will be an excellent presentation that your staff or persons in your organization may be interested in attending. Please feel free to invite them to join us on the phone.
The usual announcements and business items will also be included on the agenda.
