From the GMR: Invitation to Participate in Value of Library study
Do you want to demonstrate the impact of your library on patient care? Join a study on the Value of Library and Information Services in Patient Care <http://nnlm.gov/mar/about/value.html> sponsored by the National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NN/LM) Middle Atlantic Region (MAR) and conducted by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Please consider joining your colleagues in demonstrating the value of libraries in patient care!
Using an online survey and interviews, the study will investigate the impact of library resources and services on clinical decision-making. Study facilitators will be asked to identify an institutional champion to help promote the study, and to distribute the online survey to physicians, residents, and nurses in their institution. The survey will be launched in March 2011.
If you are interested in participating, please complete the Study Participation Interest Form <http://nnlm.gov/mar/about/valueinterest.html> today. You will be contacted by the study team regarding your library's eligibility, and about how to get started. If you would like a mentor to provide support and answer questions, one of the study team members will be happy to work closely with you.
Please contact MAR Network Services Coordinator Neil Romanosky (firstname.lastname@example.org) or MAR Planning and Evaluation Coordinator Sue Hunter (email@example.com) with questions about the study.
