Don't Miss this Exciting Event: Elizabeth Blackwell Play

The University of Minnesota Health Sciences Libraries are pleased to host a one-woman play abut Elizabeth Blackwell, the first woman doctor to graduate from medical school. After being rejected by all the leading medical schools, Ms. Blackwell was accepted by Geneva Medical College where she graduated first in her class in 1849. Reception to
follow. The event is free and open to the public. Everyone welcome.

The play is being held as part of the National Library of Medicine's Changing the Face of Medicine exhibit hosted by the University of Minnesota Health Sciences Libraries October 26 - December 5, 2010.
