From the GMR: Call for Papers: Special Issue of JMLA on Applying Technologies in Medical Libraries

Hello, Network Members,

Interested in writing an article? How about one on technology? The January 2012 issue of JMLA will be devoted to papers that help us all understand how health science librarians can use technologies to improve delivery of, and access to, medical and health sciences information. They are particularly interested in case studies on how an institution used technology to solve a problem in your library. Other submissions of interest, research papers that use quantitative or qualitative methodologies to evaluate the use of technology in health sciences libraries.

For more information, go to: http://www.mlanet.org/publications/jmla/call_applyingtech.html

And on a technological note as we wind down this 5-year contract, there are still Technology Improvement Awards available. Your organization can be awarded up to $4,900 for your project if it meets certain guidelines. Check out http://nnlm.gov/gmr/funding/technology/techrfp.html for the Call for Application, and see a list of past funding recipients of this award here: http://nnlm.gov/gmr/funding/technology/recipients.html. Because our contract is ending on April 30, 2011, all projects must be completed by this date.
