From the GMR: Staffing Changes in the GMR

Network Members,

Charniel McDaniels, GMR Network Services Coordinator, left the UIC Library of the Health Sciences on May 31, 2011, to seek other professional opportunities. The GMR staff and I want to express our gratitude to Charniel for her service to the National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NN/LM) Greater Midwest Region (GMR) since 1997 and the Library of the Health Sciences since 1991.

During her tenure in the GMR Office, Charniel provided expert advice about DOCLINE to hundreds of network members and served as the liaison to several regional committees and working groups, most notably the Resource Sharing Committee during the 2001-2006 contract and the Advocacy Working Group during the 2006-2011 contract. This latter group was responsible for creating the very successful "Time=Money" campaign on behalf of hospital librarians.

Moving forward, Max Anderson (max@uic.edu), GMR Technology Coordinator, will be the GMR's lead contact for questions related to DOCLINE.

For our network colleagues in Michigan, Jacqueline Leskovec (leskovec@uic.edu) will become the GMR contact librarian and for our Kentucky colleagues, Holly Ann Burt (haburt@uic.edu) will be the GMR contact librarian.

Please don't hesitate to contact me or any of the GMR Coordinators if you have questions about GMR programs or services.

Enjoy your summer!
