From the GMR: Free PubMed Class Online - Fall Classes

Due to popular demand, the GMR is offering additional sessions of the PubMed basics course.

Making PubMed Work for You is available in an online format. This three-week course will cover the same materials as the in-person class, but you can take it at your own pace via Moodle. This class is intended to hone basic searching techniques and the ability to develop search strategies that will take advantage of the PubMed interface to MEDLINE. The course will explore various methods for searching the PubMed system. Topics covered include Automatic Term Mapping, Search Results, Limits and Details, My NCBI, Searching with MeSH, the Single Citation Matcher and Topic-Specific Queries. Complete the work and earn 3.5 MLA CE.

We have two upcoming classes available:

* September 12 - October 3, 2011
* October 24-November 14, 2011

Register online with the GMR registration system at:

See you online.

P.S. If neither of these work for you, we will be offering this course again in 2012.
