New issue of Mayo Clinic Libraries newsletter available

New Issue of Library Online Newsletter Available

October is National Medical Librarians Month! Explore the latest issue of Liblog: Newsletter of the Mayo Clinic Libraries containing a variety of articles and news items highlighting services and resources available to all Mayo Clinic employees and students.

Brief articles in this issue include a celebration of the 175th anniversary of the founding of the National Library of Medicine, the recently concluded Library All Sites Meeting, and the introduction of MAX - M-ayo A-rchives X-plorer. MAX will debut on the Mayo intranet later this year as an online finding tool to help discover the extensive topics and collections acquired and organized by the Mayo Historical Unit illustrating the collective memory and history of Mayo Clinic. Other features in this issue include an update from the National Library of Medicine, a listing of new library subject guides, a book review of "Mayo Clinic Book of Alternative Medicine", and recurring columns of "What's your Reference Question?", library staff kudos, activities, and publications.
