New for 2012: Professional Practice Committee Research Award

While you're thinking of what to submit as a paper or poster proposal for the Midwest Chapter meeting in Rochester in the fall, keep this new award in mind! The Professional Practice Committee of the Midwest Chapter MLA is seeking submissions for research paper and poster presentations for the 2012 Annual Chapter Meeting. Primary authors of research papers are eligible for 1st place, $200.00; 2nd place $125.00 award. Primary authors of poster presentations are eligible for 1st place $125.00; second place $75.00. Papers and posters are awarded points for study design, validity, reliability, presentation, and implications for library and information research. In order to receive the award one author must be a Midwest MLA chapter member, and be available to speak with the judges at the Midwest MLA conference.
