Friday Deadline for Awards to Support Midwest Chapter Conference Attendance

Of special note to HSLM members - a reminder that the application deadline for the Midwest Chapter Annual Meeting Scholarships and Professional Development Awards is THIS FRIDAY, August 17th!

The awards are a GREAT opportunity for students and HSLM members who have not attended a chapter meeting before. These $500 awards will cover a very good portion of the total cost of attendance, since you don't have to worry about airfare to attend the Chapter Meeting in Rochester.

The Chapter is offering:

* Two Annual Meeting Scholarships ($500 each) to support attendance of students at the chapter's annual meeting.

* Two Professional Development Awards ($500 each) to support first-time attendance of members at the chapter's annual meeting.

See midwestmla.org/committees/awards/ for more information and application forms. The deadline to apply/nominate for the other two awards (the Jean Williams Sayre Innovation Award and the Distinguished Librarian of the Year Award) is September 7th. If you have any questions, contact Liz Fine Weinfurter - eweinfur@umn.edu, 612-624-6492
