From the GMR: GMR Lake Effects - Information for Pets and Owners - July 18th

The GMR Lake Effects this month will be:
Information Petting Zoo: Consumer Health Resources About Animals
Presenter: Heather K. Moberly, MSLS, AHIP, Professor, Coordinator of Veterinary Services, Texas A&M University Medical Sciences Library

This time our "consumer" is an animal and the information seeker is the owner. Join us for a brief overview of veterinary education and specialties. Next, focusing on companion animals, we will identify and discuss authoritative resources covering topics such as pet care, pets and emergencies/disasters, zoonoses (diseases you can catch from animals), and toxic foods and plants. We will also include educational and multilingual resources. If you love, live and/or work with animals, this session is for you.
