From the GMR: E-Licensing Offer - JoVE

Hello, Network Members,

As you may know, the GMR works with MCLS (Midwest Collaborative for Library Services) to negotiate offers with vendors for e-products and services. I wanted to make you aware of a new E-Licensing Group offer. Have you heard of JoVE? JoVE is the first peer-reviewed scientific video journal for biological, medical, chemical, and physical research indexed in Medline and PubMed. Content presently includes over 1,200 articles and adds about 50 articles each month. Featured topics include Neuroscience, Immunology & Infection, Bioengineering, and Clinical & Translational Medicine.

For more information, check out the E-Licensing page: There is a secure page that requires a password for more information on any offers MCLS has available to GMR members. If you don't have this password or have lost it, please contact Max (

This product is best suited for academic health science libraries with a medical program. Hospital libraries may see a need for some of the modules.

From the GMR: Reminder about E-Licensing Offer Opportunities

Hello, GMR Members!

I wanted to remind you about E-Licensing Group, which is a result of the hard work of the E-Licensing Working Group of the RAC. Currently there are two offers to GMR Network Members. To find out more about these offers and to participate in the conversation about future offers, check out the E-Licensing Group page on the GMR website:

The offers are listed on a password protected page. To access the specifics of current offers that are listed on this password protected page, contact Max ( and he will give you the password.

On the page referenced above, you can easily join the listserv which is specific to discussions about current and future offers.

We have an offer on the table with Dynamed (one of two current offers) and our negotiator at MCLS needs 7 more libraries to express interest in the offer by December 15. Remember, expressing interest in the offer does not mean you have signed your name in blood for it. :-)

Let me know if you have any questions or want more information.

Thanks much!

From the GMR: E-Licensing Group Initial Offer

Hello all!

You may recall that we are working with MCLS in Michigan to try to find suitable product offers for our members. The goal is to be able to lower costs for member libraries by group purchasing of products and services.

The first offer is for Ovid Nursing Full-Text Plus. Please check out this page for general information about the E-Licensing Group: If you would like to know more about the offers as they come in, you will need to be a member of the E-Licensing Group Listserv. The user name and password for secure pages will be only made available this way.

There is sort of a short turn-around for this offer, so if you are interested at all, please contact Diana at - and be sure to join the listserv to be kept informed of upcoming offers.

We are working to get trial information listed on this page shortly.
