Directions for the "A" Bloggged Paper
The blog option will ask you to write a 4 (or so) page paper about the wealth that your “A” book has to offer to writing teachers. This can be in the form of a book review or some other more imaginative format and will be posted on the internet during the last three weeks. You may agree or disagree with the author and what they say, or you can think of a way to report what they have said. If you can, respond to the book in a way that might provoke comments from your classmates, but be true to the book and its worth. Your peers in the class will, at some time, be assigned to respond to your blog. Your blog will also be open to response from the rest of the world so prepare it carefully.
Directions to Post Your Blog
You can get to the blog site by going to the Teaching English Home Page (http://www.d.umn.edu/~lmillerc/TeachingEnglishHomePage/), then to Engl 5902, then to U Think Blogs (left hand menu), then to Start your own blog, and Create your own blog. Login, Create New Weblog . When you name your own paper entitle it "Engl5902- (name of your paper), so that your classmates can find it and respond to it. When you are done, click on the "Notifications" on the left hand menu and inform those you want to see it that it is there. When you notify people, you need to use the full email address (firstname.lastname@example.org). I will notify others, or we may be able to use the class alias.
