I told myself that I could not sew today until I had written my five pages. Well, I actually stuck to it. Yay for me! I had two already and now I'm on page 8. Just about half way! It's about Adorno and World of Warcraft. I'm sure y'all will want to read it, right? hehe

I'm going to start on my dad's father's day gift and watch some FFXII. Also, I'm about 1/2 way done with a dress. Hopefully that will get wrapped up tomorrow and I'll have some pix. It is a Vogue pattern that I cut out in rayon in view A and it DID NOT COVER MY BREASTS EVEN REMOTELY!! Also, I'm really a cotton girl. Good thing the rayon was cheap. I got some Amy Butler stuff and started it yesterday with much pressing and fussing to make sure it didn't end up like the other version. Much much better. I was afraid that Vogue patterns were jinxed for me, but this one seems ok now. Knock on wood...

Perhaps this is an odd thing to delurk for but I, for one, would actually be really interested in reading your paper. Not that I'm assuming it's going to be doing any rounds, but it sounds interesting, and possibly related to some of what I study.

Jenn, I can definitely email you a copy. It is still early in the writing process, but my deadline is the middle of next month. I will have to get my adviser to pretty it up a little, but after that, it's yours.
Toni, I'll dive around in the (freakishly large) pattern stash and try to come up with a recommendation for you!

Hi. I've been lurking around here for awhile and just have to comment this time because recently it seems like we are sewing the same patterns. I am sewing this dress right now for myself and also helping a friend sew it. I was a little surprised at the fit too. I think I may have had a similar problem with the top. Vogue patterns seem to run big for me but not this one.

Another question while I've got you. Your patterns. Do you just fold them up after you're done - or do you 'preserve' them in a different way. I bought the book from Built By Wendy...and she suggested hanging them from a hanger after your done. I just don't have that much space :)
