And here we go with the ninth edition of SHOUT OUT! Friday. Let me know if you liked SHOUT OUT! Friday by leaving a Commment at the end of this entry. And if you didn't, you can still leave one! Or if you'd like to give someone a personal SHOUT OUT! just e-mail me and I'll consider it for the following week.
This week's first SHOUT OUT! comes from Tyler in Janesville, Wisconsin. I know Janesville very well having visited numerous times when I had a client (Mercy Health System) there. Tyler writes "I'd like to give a SHOUT OUT! for the Vikes fans who bleed Purple and live in Cheeseland. We do battles against insurmountable odds here every year. We have the best seat in the house when we blast the Packers at Lambeau!!!!!!!! Look for us during this NFC North Championship Season of 2005!" Tyler also provided the Star Tribune photo you see below which shows him abd Cris Carter from the 2000 season. Tyler is in the white jersey. I do believe I even recall that TD!

A animal SHOUT OUT! to seven-year-old chimpanzee, Rudi, who shows us just how much talent is needed to play golf, which is as Twain uttered "a good walk spoiled."

A five-ring SHOUT OUT! to London for winning the bid to host the 2012 summer Olympics. Don't you just love it when the Frenchies get it in the shorts?
And speaking of the Frenchies, a red-white-and-blue SHOUT OUT! to Lance Armstrong and Team Discovery Channel who set a team-time-trial record in the fourth stage of the 92nd Tour de France cycling race, between Tours and Blois.

Have a great weekend everyone! Come back Monday for another podcast and article. On the podcast I'll be talking about a few of my favorite tailgate recipes. Yum yum!
Brian,
Great website/blog! I've been checking it out since I found it earlier this past weekend. You do a great job with it and make it very informative and fun to read.
Next, I would like to give you some feedback on your podcast. I listened to it yesterday and found it very entertaining. I can't believe Graham is getting so big now. Last time I spoke with you he was an infant. Wow! How time flies... Anyway... I listened to it by MP3 and thought the quality was quite good. I liked the mix of subject matter as well. I like to keep things eclectic as well. Keep up the good work. I won't pay a subscription for ipod, so I'll be listening by MP3. Thanks for posting it both ways.
Lastly, I would like to give a shout out to all us Vikings fans that live outside the Upper Midwest. We have a lot of crap to put up with by all the "other" fans. I can't tell you how many times I've put up with crap from Titans fans. We're all in this suffering together, and hopefully some day I'll be alive to see them win it all.
Later,

The subscription to Brian's podcast is free via iTunes. No iPod required. You can listen through iTunes on your computer.
Posted by: Bill Poganski at July 8, 2005 8:19 AMThanks Shane, for the additional SHOUT OUT! You are correct that we Vikes fans take far too much crap-o-la. But me thinks we'll be the ones dishing it out this year.
Thanks Bill for the clarification. Yes, you do not need a iPod to listen. Just iTunes, which as Bill states, is free. It is the easiest way to listen to Podcasts of all types!
Posted by: Brian Maas at July 8, 2005 8:52 AMTyler!!! I live in Janesville too, hit me up with an email and maybe we can get together to reminisce. Later, Mike
