Hi Jackie, I was reading back in your archives and you had mentioned that you write for a newspaper. I was curious how that all came about.

Hi, Sandy --

The Minneapolis Star Tribune has a weekly Home and Garden section which runs a "Musings" column on the second page. These articles are personal pieces that folks submit to the section editor for review. If she likes your piece and it fits her current needs, she'll run it. I started submitting things in 1999 and have had one or two printed each year since hten. They have mostly been about gardening but also about our son Graham in the garden.

This gives me an idea. We have a long vacation coming up at the end of hte month. Maybe I'll take a break from teh blog as well and run some of those older pieces. I'm still pleased with them.

Thanks for asking.

It was pleasantly cool here this week. A foreshadowing of the fall to come?
