Hawks have extremely sharp claws, called talons, which they use to catch and hold their prey, and their name comes from the Middle English word hafoc, which means “to grasp or seize.”

today, the HOCs seized a WIN! even though we actually lost the game 4-1 (hey, we still got that token 1 goal). the other team failed to field a complete team, so they were forced to forfeit, giving us the win by default. we gave them some of our players so that we could still play a game.

for those of you keeping track, the HOCs are now 1-1-1, we keep up this .500 or above record and we will be in the playoffs!
