Library News from the St. Paul Campus Libraries

On Friday, May 9 the EFW Library hosted an afternoon coffee hour in collaboration with Frenatae, the Entomology Department graduate student group. Guest speaker John Moriarty from Ramsey County Parks joined us (with his LIVE Red-footed tortoises, box turtle, and wood turtles) for coffee and chocolate turtle treats. The event was very lively and we all learned a lot about these cool herps. Thank you, Margaret Borg, for organizing this fun event!

Outstanding Library Student Employee Award Winner Dustin Fields has worked as a Student Library Assistant / Web Developer for the Plant Pathology Library since fall 2006. He has become an invaluable student employee, extremely gracious and helpful to library patrons, while contributing to projects that benefit more then just the Plant Pathology Library. Through his role as web developer and graphic designer, Dustin has designed multiple brochures and contributed to several online websites featuring Flash animation. Dustin is described as a joy to work with; he is always willing to do whatever tasks are asked of him.
