Mosquito Brigades & Emmy-winning Saving Wheat: 2 new exhibits

There are now two great new exhibits at the St. Paul hill libraries:

  • At the Natural Resources Library, Shannon Farrell and Amy Gmur have created an exhibit about the biology and control of mosquitoes, everyone's favorite insect. This exhibit includes a once-popular book entitled Mosquito Brigades and How to Organize Them.

  • At the Plant Pathology Library, Renoir Gaither has organized a display honoring the Emmy-winning documentary, Saving Wheat: Rusts Never Sleep, which was a collaboration between the Department of Plant Pathology and Twin Cities Public Television. The actual 2012 Upper Midwest Emmy statuette (you can see Prof. Zeyen helping to hold it here) is also in the display case for all to see.

Stop by and check them out!
