And now, for (Evening and) Weekend Update!

While I'm clearly no Amy Poehler (let alone Seth Meyers!), I would love to start an category. Here's what this thread will entail:

• Handy information for those of you who work evenings and weekends -- Opening and Closing information, FAQs, all that good stuff -- in short, things you'll use every time you are in the library without a full-time staff person.
• Any evening/weekend specific information -- classes being held at the library, specific reserve materials that are getting checked out a bunch, construction, and so on.

Here's what I would like you, as an Evening/Weekend library student worker, to do:

If you are in the library without a full-time staff person present -- so closing on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays -- please WRITE A POST and report in on how things went! I'd love to hear about your experiences closing the library, and if there are any recurring issues (like patrons consistently leaving late, or an alien invasion every Sunday night), we'll work together to try and fix them. However, if things always go smoothly, I'd like to hear about that too.

So if you ever work an Evening/Weekend shift without one of the full-time staff present, go ahead and leave us a little letter. We'll be looking forward to your posts!
