Then there are the squirrels. They just love the birdseed, after chasing away all of the birds. But they're still cute, especially the fluffy gray ones we have around here. We also have a black one that I've recently seen in the yard.

IWhere i grew up in Illinois, we had only black squirrels, so I was surprised to learn that Minnesotans found them curious, But apparently they're making inroads here.

These rascals are forever fighting with the birds at my birdfeeders. I have taken to leaving out peanuts just for them to give the birds a fighting chance! Another great illustration. :0)
