everyday matters nos. 1 & 28
I've joined another artistic challenge, EveryDay Matters. (Because I've been oh so good at keeping up with Illustration Friday that I need another committment I can't keep, right?)
Here are my first two sketches:
1. Draw a shoe

28. Draw an appliance

Great shoe and tape dispenser. I used to use colored pencils all the time until I joine EDM and now that I have tried watercolor, I am hooked. Give it a try.

Very nice start! I draw my Tevas obsessively, a handy still life there at the end of my leg :-)
If you use watercolor pencils, you can add water to smooth out the texture. I love pushing the fluid around.

Welcome to the group, Danielle. Well you've taken the first "step" - you have drawn your shoe and it is great. AND your "appliance" is very colorful. If you don't like the effect you get with your colored pencils, try watercolor pencils. I love mine!
