The five day conference is organized around a variety of events designed for facilitating different kinds of conversations.
Young Scholars Forum A day entirely devoted to dilogue and debate between scholars of different generations to explore ways of setting new agendas for research.
Public event An evening open to the public to share and discuss the theme of the conference in an accessible manner with academic and activist and citizen communities.
Workshop panels: Sessions with 3 papers each. Paper should be no more than 5000 words prepared in advance and will be presented by another participating scholar. Presentation should be no more than 10 mintues.
World Cafes: Group discussions: 8 - 9 people in each group.
The content of the world café discussions is not rigidly determined by prior planining. The purpose of world cafes is to identify the most important issues and concepts presented in the panels, and/or to pursue in future research. We will ask participants to prepare annotated questions, which deserve further investigation. These should be posted 2 weeks before the meeting on the website.
