MINNEAPOLIS - Kevin Love will miss at least six weeks after breaking two bones in his right hand before practice on Wednesday, the Star Tribune reported.
The Minnesota Timberwolves forward was working out before basketball practice when he broke his the third and fourth metacarpals, the Star Tribune reported.
He is reported to be out for at 6-8 weeks, overlapping Minnesota's first game of the season on Nov. 2, Yahoo Sports reported.
Fellow teammate Ricky Rubio is also expected to be out for part of the season related to a surgery last March to repair his torn knee ligaments, the Yahoo Sports reported.
Without Love, Wolves coach Rick Adelman is likely to start either Derrick Williams or Andrei Kirilenko as power forward, the Star Tribune reported.
