A turn for the WORST or for the BEST?
As we are now getting right into the swing of things with our term project, it is only reasonable to ask how exactly we are going to put our presentations together.
The first presentation ideas that came to my mind that I believe would fully and exemplify what our term project ,in regard to Sustainability in Pune India, was all about were the following…
Video
Incorporating a video would be a nice way to illustrate the organization and Architect that we are working with in out term project. A video would thus inform our audience of who, what, where our term project is targeted at and why we decided on this particular location.
Background knowledge

Besides having a video that depicts what we are all going to talk about, it would be also be beneficial to give some local statistics on the community slums we are researching about as well as information regarding Pratima Joshi, who is the Architect that is working to promote a more sustainable environment in India. It would also be advantageous to our peers and our T.A. that we provide information about the organization, Shelter Associations, Pratima Joshi works with in India. The Shelter Association is a unique organization that works in Pune, India comprising Architects, Social workers, GIS Experts and Community Workers.
Flip Charts

It would also be beneficial to add information such as the GIS to demonstrate how important this tool is in the reinterpretation of Prune slums. With GIS, Pratima has created a spatially-organized slum database that is critical to effective urban planning and the development of public infrastructure servicing the slums. With this said, it is evident that the GIS is an important tool used as a part of this reinterpretation of slums and therefore needs to have a place within our presentation.
PowerPoint

With the accumulating information that we’ve been gathering it would be extremely effective to have our presentation in and orderly manner. Using a power point would be efficient and less costly to have a nicely organized presentation. A PowerPoint would effectively demonstrate all the information onto one screen so that our audience will be able to view and oppose and questions if needed.
Portfolio
And last but not least, I would think that it would important to summarize everything into a nice, organized, and creative manner. Thus a portfolio would be a great way to show how much effort we’ve put into our term project over the course of the last past weeks. It also gives our group a chance to turn in a tangible term project whereas just handing a PowerPoint or just various flipcharts will not obviously be sufficient enough.
With this all said, I think that if we incorporate all these important keys concepts and ideas into our presentation, that we will be successful in our term project.
