a new cauldron

If I could figure out how to change the name of this blog, I would. I will continue posting Weird Titles here. But I am moving my more personal writings and rants here: http://www.xanga.com/nicolemm. Xanga has many useful features, and I had that blog set up in no time, and it's free! I would still like to learn html , but it's nice to find a free space to write that doesn't require that knowledge.

where have I been?

Interlibrary loan has been quite busy lately and a new man came into my life last fall. Not all of my devotion to those causes has been healthy and that will be enough said on that. I've not done much with politics since the elections, though I am proud of what we did with the MN State House. I did attempt to go to the DFL Minneapolis City Convention, but it was such a circus I got disgusted and left before it really got going.

My partner is a different "flavor" of pagan and that has caused us both to learn more about our spirituality, I think.

There has still been plenty of good cooking in my house as my partner likes to do it, too. We've recently gotten to some more potlucks so I should be posting more recipes soon.

I don't know if anyone has missed the weird titles-my coworkers have still been getting them nearly every Friday.

blog birth

Hi, I'm Nicole. I chose the name Steaming Cauldron because I have strong opinions and also because I realize some people, most notably neo-cons and fundamentalists, may think my posts are a steaming crock of something.

This birth is proportionate to the real ones I've done, as in not quick and easy. I've discovered Safari doesn't work well with this, and that not yet knowing html will probably annoy me to the point where I may finally do something about it.
