2010 Rail Corridor Safety Conference

Next month, the California LTAP Center is co-sponsoring the 2010 Rail
Corridor Safety Conference with the Federal Railroad Administration. The
three-day conference will take place June 22-24 in Tacoma, Washington.
The conference focuses on rail corridor safety, particularly
highway-rail grade crossing safety improvements and local agency
planning and construction near railroad tracks. It offers attendees
critical updates on policies and best practices for improving safety
along the rails, and provides ample opportunities for inter-agency
networking and collaboration.

The conference will feature speakers from the National Transportation
Safety Board, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada, the Washington
State Department of Transportation, and many other agencies, railroad
operators, and private firms that are vitally involved with every aspect
of rail crossing safety.

More information about the conference, a full preliminary program, and
registration details are posted at www.techtransfer.berkeley.edu/railroad.
