John Dewar, FHWA-HSSP, is the team leader for State and Local Safety Programs in the Office of Safety, and attended the ribbon-cutting with the Deputy Secretary Barrett yesterday. John will become the Agreement Officer’s Technical Representative (AOTR) for center at the CERS Summer Institute at the end of July.

Aid developed a workshop that will help agencies create an operational “culture? where the
focus will be safety. Those who attend will leave with an understanding of the tools and
technologies needed for the assessment and improvements of rural roads.


Who Should Attend?
City and county engineers and their managers. The workshop will also serve as a train-the-trainers;
therefore, the desire is that attendees will present the same information to their staffs.

Fee
Because of the importance of this workshop, the LRRB and Mn/DOT State Aid is
sponsoring this workshop at no cost.
