Workshop Two
Preparing and Revising Your Personal Statement
This workshop will help you to think critically about how to write your personal statement, and revise it.
We will discuss:
Tips for answering application questions
Ways to make your statement stand out from the rest
Editing strategies, and more!
Note: Prior to attending this session you will need to spend a minimum of two hours writing a draft version of your personal statement.
Bring two copies of your draft statement to the workshop for editing and revision exercises.

Workshop Three
Writing an Effective Research Proposal
This workshop is intended for students interested in preparing a research proposal for various undergraduate research programs, including, UROP, MSROP, or McNair, etc. All students with general interests in proposal writing are also welcome!

October 4th, 2010 and early March, 2011.
