Join the Somali Women's Health & Wellness (SWHW) Program!

Join the Somali Women's Health & Wellness (SWHW) Program! This student group supports Somali women in the areas of exercise, physical and mental health in order to thrive as students at the U of M. SWHW meets twice a month at the Recreation Center on campus. One session meets in a private aerobics room to learn different kinds of aerobic, strengthening & conditioning exercises for women of differing levels of physical abilities. An instructor at the Recreation Center will teach the fitness classes once a month. The second session focuses on presentations and discussions surrounding health & wellness issues within the Somali community- selected by you- the SWHW members. Through physical activity and discussions, we hope to increase self-confidence & promote healthy supportive lifestyles. Become an active part of the Women's Somali Health & Wellness Program today!
