Technology specialists (Summer Job)

Hi: The National Park Service is looking for a summer hire that needs to
be less than 26 years of age, currently a student and returning to school
in the fall. The applicant needs some knowledge of photoshop, working on
the web and writing. Salary would range between $14 and $16 an hour
depending on range. Below is the job description:

Assistant Website Editor
Mississippi National River and Recreation Area or St. Croix National Scenic
Riverway

This position works with technology at the park. The majority of the
duties will be manipulating data and graphics to post on the park website,
www.nps.gov/miss and www.nps.gov/sacn. The website uses a content
management system for site administration; training is available. You
should be familiar with editing and sizing graphics and have experience
writing and editing content. Duties may include the development of maps
using Google Earth files. The position may include working with technical
staff to install software, troubleshoot PC user problems, and maintain
hardware.

Employees will be provided opportunities to become familiar with resources
at St. Croix National Riverway and the Mississippi National River and
Recreation Area.

Duty station is in downtown St. Paul, MN at Mississippi National River and
Recreation Area and under the direct supervision of their Computer and
Technology specialists. The St. Croix National Scenic Riverway's
Historian/webmaster will provide park specific guidance for St. Croix
duties.
