The University Women of Color (UWOC) Tapestry Award is granted to those that help create a thriving campus community where diversity in the widest sense is welcomed and supported. The selection committee particularly seeks efforts that affect the campus climate for women students, faculty, and staff of color.

All current U of Minnesota faculty, staff and students are eligible to apply. Students may be enrolled in undergraduate, graduate, or continuing studies. Previous applicants may re-apply. An award of $500 will be given to faculty, staff or students who have worked to enhance campus equity and diversity.

All entries must include the UWOC Tapestry Award Application Cover sheet, one page personal statement of describing the candidate's strengths and contributions to diversity on campus and two statements of support.

Please see attached application. Completed applications must be received by September 21, 2012. For questions, contact uwoc@umn.edu.
