Chicago Trip Announcement!

Everyone interested in Chicago Trip,
You MUST attend a meeting Monday, Feb. 26 in Kirby Student Center 323 at 6:30pm if you want to attend the HSA Chicago Trip. We will be going over ALL the details of the trip and taking only those that show up to this meeting. If you have a conflict, you must email before the meeting, with a ligitimate conflict, not "My favorite tv show is on at that time." We only have enough hotel rooms for 30 people so only thirty people will be able to attend. This means, if more than 30 people come on Monday, priority will be given to those who have attended meetings prior. See you all Monday!

Year in Review

Thank you to everyone who participated in HSA events for making this a great year! Our organization has struggled with participation and continuity in the past, but with a liberal dose of milk and cookies, our first ever HSA banquet, and a letter-writing campain, we are ready for an even more exciting year come fall. One major leap for HSA has been establishing it as an official university student group. As such, we held elections and officers for next fall have been chosen. Our 2006-2007 leaders will be as follows:

President- Anne Davis
Vice Presidents- Sarah Toews & Stephanie Hooker (Stephanie will be studying abroad for a semester)
Secretary- Adrianne McAlpin
Treasurer- Jenna Carlson

HSA's new official slogan is littera, ductus, potentia (latin for "scholarship, leadership, potential"). We have three final logos for your consideration:

Thanks again and see you next fall! Make sure to check the blog during summer for updates on community service, scholarship activities, and updates in HSA and UMD's Honors Program.
